The University of Nebraska at Omaha concluded its series against future Summit League foe North Dakota State with a 9-1 win Sunday at the Ballpark at Boys Town.

The Mavericks, who were outscored 22-5 in the first three games of the series, improved to 10-22 while NDSU dropped to 22-6.

After the Bison made it 1-0 in the first inning with a solo homer, it was all Mavericks from there. Connor McCrite's RBI single in the bottom of the first gave UNO a lead it would never relinquesh as Zach Williamsen (2-1) and Cole Volkers held North Dakota scoreless for the final eight innings.

Brady Hohl, a senior from Millard North, led UNO with four RBIs with as every Mav starter recorded a hit. Williamsen, a redshirt freshman from Millard West, allowed the one run on five hits — four were singles — in seven innings.

UNO returns to action with a four-game series at UNLV next weekend. First pitch on Friday is at 8:05 p.m., followed by a 3:05 p.m. doubleheader Saturday. Sunday's series finale also starts at 3:05 p.m.
